Cloth Diapers Wash and Care Instructions

Using Cloth Diaper for the First Time:


Pre-wash all new Cloth Diapers (Cloth diaper and inserts) before using it for the first time. This removes any residues that might be left in the fabric during production processes.


To get better absorption of the inserts, wash the inserts for 3 times before the first use.


Cloth diapers are washing-machine-friendly.


Using laundry bag in washing machine can lengthen the lifetime of Cloth Diapers.


Dry Cloth Diapers directly/indirectly under the sun, or by using machine cloth dryer.


Remember


Do not use bleach (eg. Clorox) or fabric softener (eg. Softlan). It can cause irritation to baby's skin and might also affect the fibers in the Cloth Diapers, and eventually shorten its lifetime.


Wash with cold/warm water. High temperature in hot water will damage the Cloth Diaper’s quality.


Do not iron or dry-clean as Cloth Diapers might loose its’ elasticity.


Do not brush the cloth diapers as it might damage the surface of the Cloth Diapers.


Do not use nappy cream as it reduced absorbency

This is all the instruction you really need:

• Store diapers in a dry pail
• Rinse on cold
• Wash with 1/2 usual detergent, any temperature
• No bleach or fabric softeners
• Optional extra rinse
•           Dryer or clothes line 

How to use a cloth diaper?

Above is one cloth diaper cover and one separate insert, lay out and ready to stuff.

This is how it looks like before inserting the insert. Look out for the opening yah! different brands different styles.

Slide the absorbent insert into the pocket opening found on the back, upper portion of the pocket diaper.

Pulling with your hand, move the absorbent insert down into the body of the diaper cover until it reaches the front end. The insert should be long enough to go from one edge of the cover to the other edge without any additional length hanging out; this ensures maximum absorption without any leakage. Make sure the insert are put flat!

Tadaaaa! Ur done and ready to put the cloth diaper on your baby...Simple hah??

Cloth Diapering Tips and Tricks!

There are sooooo many to list so I will put a few and anyone can add more.

1)Use your pocket diapers without the inserts as swim diapers!!

2)Use baby powder on your baby's bum to help prevent the solids from sticking to the cloth diaper.

3)Do not use diaper rash cream with your cloth diapers. This will not only stain them but also make them not as absorbent where the cream is. You can however use petroleum jelly as this will easily wash away and not stain or effect the absorbency of the diaper.

4)Line dry your diapers outside to naturally sun out stains. To help prevent diaper stiffness, line dry in the morning or afternoon, when the heat is not at the highest for the day. You can also throw them in the dryer for about 5 minutes to "fluff" after bringing them back inside.

1st of all, you need to determine how often you will be doing laundry.

- Newborn to 4 months – 20-24 diapers
- Infant (4 to 10 months) – 16-20 diapers
- Toddler (10 months to potty training – 12-16 diapers
